Indonesia will not impose anti-dumping duties on China-related cold-rolled stainless steel

On December 6, 2022, the Indonesian Anti-dumping Commission announced that in view of Indonesian public interests, Indonesia has decided to terminate the anti-dumping investigation of cold-rolled stainless steel products (Cold Rolled Stainless Steel) originating in China and Malaysia, and will not impose anti-dumping duties.

On October 23, 2019, the Indonesian Anti-dumping Commission issued an announcement to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on cold-rolled stainless steel products imported from China and Malaysia at the request of Indonesian domestic company PT Jindal Stainless Indonesia. On March 25, 2021, the Indonesian Anti-dumping Commission issued an announcement to make a final anti-dumping ruling on the case, ruling that the dumping margins for Chinese producers/exporters were 39.3% to 109.6%, and the dumping margins for Malaysian producers/exporters were both 37.0 %, the dumping of the products involved in the case has constituted substantial damage to the domestic industry in Indonesia, and it is recommended that the Indonesian Ministry of Finance levy anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the case for a period of 5 years. The products involved include cold-rolled stainless steel plates, steel coils, strips and other shapes of cold-rolled stainless steel plate products, involving Indonesian customs codes 7219.32.00, 7219.33.00, 7219.34.00, 7219.35.00, 7219.90.00, 7220.20.10 , 7220.20.90, 7220.90.10 and 7220.90.90 products.
